Yeah for this year I think Im just gonna keep all of them and hatch as many as I can then go threw them and first cull them out by color.. then go to type. I think My one Actual Grey Male is very nice. There is 4-5 very nice Grey Females also. This is my first year with Runners.. Had to add some color to the mix.. The little Crested is a project haha Im gonna keep her with them in the hopes to ADVENTUALLY make Crested Grey Runners. It will be very interesting to see what I hatch. I figure I wolnt sell any ducklings or eggs this year so I can see what I will get from them. Runners are so funny.. constantly doing SOMETHING!

So you are also about where I am with mine!! I have had my project going for about 18 months now - or at least that when I started trying to collect the Runners or fertile eggs- and also have a crested drake that I picked up just for the novelty and to experiment with. He is a lovely colour- fawn with blue lacing but he is only young- and I have just noticed his head is now darkening. I wont be putting him with any of my Harlequin girls though. Harlequins are so rare and there isnt a great market for them here as not many people know the colour exists- so if I was to create a crested harlequin- I may not be able to sell them at all.

I loved my mixed flocks and rescues that I had for many years- but I have to admit I have had much more enjoyment from the Indian Runners. As a whole group they are just so full of different personalities and can keep me entertained for hours at a time.
