what day is the egg on ? do you think its going to hatch ???? I think I would take the egg and put it in the bator and let her try to be a mom, she might get confused about the chick and the egg and might not want to leave the egg, so I think you might have a better chance if you take the egg and leave the chick, then she will hopefully "raise" the chick !!! Dieing to know what happens in the morning, let me know !!!


if the other egg hatches soon you can put that with her !!!

I think she accepted the chick!!!! I went to the barn this morning to feed everyone and found this.....

then....I went back in the afternoon and she was missing, so was the chick....she took her baby all the way thru the barn and out back with the peafowl! It's a team effort, this little chick has 3 mothers and a dad who are taking care of him. (I know it's a "him" as it's all I've been able to hatch). So yippee! When she was off her nest I stole her guinea egg too and she doesn't seem to mind! She is making this purring sound that I've never heard her make and she is very content and proud of herself!! How long will she take care of the chick?

that is so sweet shell propably think its her own because turkeys are very dumb. the chick is also very cute it makes me want to hug that chick

This is what I found this morning. She sure is hauling her little one all around the barnyard. This if first experience with broody hen raising up chicks, learning lots.
