i was just up at my buddy's farm - he has 19 'teenage' turks - i'm totally jealous. i took him a truck load o' ducks and he'll bring me down a tom this fall. yay!​

Well, I emailed and asked if he still had the poult... He does, and he wants to sell me 2 showgirls for 10 a piece

I'm a sucker, but I think I need to pass on them.

. I also just asked if he has updated pics I could get to see if anyone could take a guess at the sex of the turkey. I'd prefer a hen, so we will see

Does it look like a tom or a hen? The turkey is about 8 weeks old now.

I'm guessing a hen. It is easy to tell when you have them the same age side by side due to the much more rapid growth of the waddle, etc on the toms. I have Narrs as well as Royal Palms and have been right calling sex by a week or two old almost every time, but of course the whole side by side makes it a lot easier.

I want the showgirls!!! Why do you have to be sooo far??? I think the turk looks like a hen...but I don't really know..time will tell!
