20180110_100025.jpg Hello, I have a female duck named Holly, and I'm confused on what breed she is. She has hatched two ducklings since I've owned her, one a male Rouen and the other a female I'm thinking a Black Swedish Duck. I'm not sure exactly how old Holly is, I'm guessing maybe 3 or 4 years. Her mate the past year is Rocky, a male Rouen. She has more of a white breast, neck and up, and black spots and a black back and spotty tummy. Her bill and feet are more of a blackish grey. Her eggs are large with normally a creme white, or sometimes with a lavendery tint. She's quite a quacker, and she's the boss. She's still a sweetie. I've looked up pictures of ducks and found some that look quite similar to Holly, but I don't recall finding out the exact breed. Holly:

The offspring of hers that looks similar to her is DuckDuck. DuckDuck has Momma Holly's attitude, and definitely a bossy mouth as well. She has more ashy orange on her legs and feet. I think DuckDuck is a Black Swedish, I'm not sure. She does have the white neck like Holly.

If any of you have an idea or know what breed Holly or even exactly what breed DuckDuck is, I'd love to hear from you! Thanks!

I just remembered and forgot to include this.

DuckDuck hatched end of September, 2017. White feathers are still growing, so is there a chance DuckDuck could actually be a Magpie as well, and not a Black Swedish? Note how DuckDuck has a white eyeliner like streak behind the eye, and some white around and under the bill. And the Swedish normally has only a white bib, if I remember correctly.

I’m not sure what Holly is. Looks like a cross breed.

But if DuckDuck is the offspring of Holly and a Rouen, she would be a mix/crossbreed rather than a true black swedish. Does DuckDuck have any shimmery black feathers that appear bluish, green, or purple? What about her head, does it have a sheen to the black? I can’t tell from the pic.

Yes, she does have some shimmery feathers. Her head has scattered light brown.
