In the Brooder
I just wanted to share a little update about my five chicks. Cocoa's doing a little better now—I saw her eating. I'm not sure we're entirely out of the woods yet, but 
. Sunny's wings are probably the biggest of them all, and powerful too! My Easter Egger Rosie is starting to be a bit of a bully; I'm hoping that won't be a concern later on. Probably-Wyandotte Tortellini's wings are still tiny. Pekmez really likes food of any kind, hence her name—which means Molasses in Turkish.
This photo was taken a few days ago, it's Tortellini perched on my knee. (note the dirty bedding—that was about five minutes before we changed it!) Sunny has really found her calling with her series of "Tunnels to China," as I like to call them. She's on #16 right now! Alas, her noble mining spree always seems to find a woeful end about one inch down...
(either I stop her mining because she's tunneling under the feeder, or she just hits the bottom of the container)
