I don’t know how to post in an old thread I posted but these chicks are just about 4 weeks old. One had frostbite (we call her, I think it’s a girl, Prince Pearl. ) on the right foot but is now completely healed and living it’s best life! Still wondering what type of chicken they are and if we can tell the gender of them. Also I think I need a bigger brooder box home for them. I can’t seem to find any decent ones for sale. All suggestions are welcomed 💗

X2 do you have a coop ready for them?
They are to our farm. We live in Louisville ky it’s really cold here. Not sure they could handle it out their yet. But we have so so so many chickens on the farm and a farm manager that lives next to their coop/barn. Do you think they would be ok out their?

No to young could you say how cold it is at night you have to wait until they are at least 6 or 7 weeks old because they can die of being too cold, once they are old enough to be with the rest of the flock make sure to start introducing them into the coop at night so that it goes by smoothly,

and if you see that one of the older hens is bullying the new ones then put the mean chicken in chicken jail(A dog crate away from the rest) and separate the bullied one so that it could heal up

We have a chick brooder with other chicks in it currently at the farm. It’s about 6 ft by 5 ft in length and width and about 6-7 ft tall. Their is a heat lamp in their ( I worry about pasty butt with a heat lamp. I use a heater that is much safer. I’ll include a pic) But those wore hatched from a hen. I Incubated these bc someone stole most of the chickens and wanted to help out our farm manager. I live about 40 min from the farm so I won’t be able to gradually introduce them to their new home. I can wait 6-7 weeks old to move them if needed though.
