Upgrade question

I just got a used Little Giant still air with the auto turner, for a steal at an auction. It all seems to work. It is missing a red plug and does not have an easy clean tray. I will probably buy both.

Should I go ahead and upgrade with a fan kit? Does it make that big of a difference? I am looking at 30 bucks at best for the fan kit.

We will probably fire it up in a couple weeks and try out some Bantam Cochins.

wouldn't bother. i made my incubator out of a cardboard box lol. no fan. just make sure the temp is a constant 100 degrees without a fan and make sure theres at least some breather holes in the incubator to allow at least some air flow in and out.

I added my own fan, a computer one and works great, cost 0.00 as I had both the fan and an extra cell phone charger laying around
