UPGRADE run and coop SAND ON FLOOR?

As I come up on my one yr anniversary of backyard chicken keeping I see i will need to do some upgrading and modifying of my run and coop as soon as weather allows
CHANGES CNCIDERING-
changing my run floor to sand? Pros and cons?
addded 4 more chics - need more space?

I have tried a few different things over 4 years and sand for me has been the best, cheapest and the easiest to scoop. I use cement sand not kids play sand. It's a tad moist and that makes it easy to spread all over and it dries pretty fast. l scoop, with a dog scooping rake set, every day under the roost just to keep it cleaner. It's the only place in the coop that my 8 girls poop.
