Upgraded coop

Hello friends!

I recently took the plunge and upgraded our coop. I'll admit, this wasn't necessary, but I've been daydreaming about upgrading for 3 years... Figure I only live once, why not go all out!?

I still have a few small things to do but I'm wondering if I should add more ventilation. Currently have 3 chickens with 5 on the way.

There are currently two vents (each on the gable sides) and the metal roof has a ridge vent. There are 3 windows total I can leave open in the summer to help, but I'm thinking I should add additional ventilation. Perhaps on the non-gable sides?

I have a few small fans to put in there as well.



Thoughts on how much more ventilation I need/where to put it?

Oh. My. Gosh. That’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. I’m SOOO jealous. I have 25 chickens do I’d need a jumbo one but I absolutely love it. I would add a few more windows though

Super cute. Can you open up the parts under the roof overhang on both sides, marked in hot pink? Not sure what the structure of the coop looks like here, but it's the perfect place to add ventilation up high as the roof protects it from climate conditions.

Make sure to seal off everything with hardware cloth that you open up to keep critters out.
