upgraded the chickens run

i am well chuffed, as today we have expanded the run for the 3 chickens, only took about 3 hours and now they have 8 ft x 6.5 ft of run space compared to the 6ft x 2 ft, when we let them out they were jumping in the air and flapping their wings, will try and get some pictures up this week - we just want to add some slabs and logs to the run. it might not look like a showhome, but we've covered half the area with tarpaulin to keep an area dry when the rain comes

You're so lucky! Wish I could say the same. Where do you live that you don't have predators? Because I might have to move there

lol i live in the UK, wales, we get the odd rat nearby, but never known of any foxes in the area ever, but we do lock the chickens up everynight just in case! we do have a sparrowhawk which flies over the area, but has done for a few years, but only ever had small starling birds, but i am not worried about the sparrowhawk. not sure what else we could expect by us - we have an outdoor cat and he has killed one of 2 rats, so he keeps them at bay!

lol i did i built a 4x6 coup with a 4x21ft run for the 2 chickens i was getting i get 4 more day old chicks around the first. lol maybe we should add a times to to the total of chicken math.
