I have a Marsh Farms turn x incubator that is 33 yrs old. I bought it new when I was a kid, hatched a bunch of eggs with it and put it away in storage when I got older with other interests/responsibilities where it stayed for decades. Last Spring we brought it out of moth balls and I cleaned it up and hatched some eggs with it and it worked with the original wafer on the thermostat. My question is can I upgrade the thermostat to something electronic that does not cost an arm and a leg? The wafer t stat fluctuates a bit more then I would like, I had to adjust it several times during incubation, and seems like old tech even though I see they are still in use. I would like a "set it and forget it" type t stat with less variation in temp but not a lot of bucks to spend. I really like this old incubator even though it has manual turning it has a lot of history with me and sentimental value. Any suggestions/comments welcome.
