'Upload file' button is not working?

It sounds like a similar problem I've been having for awhile here: Issues Uploading Screenshots

Only, I haven't tried uploading anything to Gallery, so I don't know if it's a problem there too. Where are you uploading the pictures from? I've found that when I try uploading them from the pull up like this below, they won't upload. But if I go to Browse, they will.

Going to Browse can be a problem sometimes, as it takes longer, and if the memory speed is slow, it won't upload either. (The slow memory speed has always been a problem and isn't BYC's fault.)

On that note, do you ever get a slow speed message on the bottom of your screen after you've clicked on an image, and your tab loads like you just clicked on it? That's a memory speed issue and is device related, not BYC.

Hi 👋

When I try to upload images (add media) to an album, the 'Upload file' button takes me to where I am able to select the images I wish to upload, but then it does not upload them when I hit the 'Done' selecting button. Nothing happens. How do I fix the problem?

Thanking you in advance.

Are you experiencing bugs? Not ones in your coop or on your chickens, but bugs while using this website? The most important part of troubleshooting is for our team to be able to duplicate the exact issue your having. If we can't duplicate it, we can't fix it. :)

If you're having problems, a few things to try:
  1. Look in this section to see if someone else has the same problem: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/announcements-feedback-issues-guides.3/
  2. Close your browser, clear your cache / history of files. Reopen your browser and try again.
  3. Make sure you have an updated version of your browser
  4. Try temporarily disabling browser addons, plugins, extensions (like ad blockers, etc.)
  5. Test it with a different browser on a different computer or phone. This allows you to determine if the problem is with the browser or your device, or your network or with the site itself. We suggest Google Chrome or Firefox
If none of those things work, START A NEW TOPIC/THREAD in our Feedback section with this info:
  1. Are you on a computer, tablet, phone.
  2. If phone / mobile, which model? If computer, which operating system and version?
  3. Which browser and version are you using (eg., Chrome 58.0.3029, Firefox 3.5.9, Internet Explorer 8, etc.)
  4. Have you deleted your internet cache / browser history of files and tried again?
  5. Have you tried a different browser?
  6. What EXACTLY did you do? Document the steps you took before having the problem.
  7. Copy/Paste the exact error message you received (screenshots are best).
Posting a new thread in our feedback section (with as much detail/screenshots as possible) helps us determine if the issue is specific to you / your computer, or potentially other users experiencing the same problem.

We look forward to helping you have a speedy recovery to this problem!

The process of my uploading of images has been working consistently well up till, and including, the last time I uploaded to an album, which was on the 16th December 2025; and there are no issues with my memory speed on this mobile phone.
I also do not typically upload large size files, keeping them small for viewing on a screen via the internet.
