Upstate New York - New Chicken Mom

Hi,
I am from upstate NY (outside of Albany) and I just got a chick from a friend - a Barred Rock. I have 15 more coming in two weeks. This is my first time having chickens (actually my first animal besides a dog) and so far it is going really well. I am looking forward to talking with everyone and learning more in the future!
