Yes, I have about 6 fav chicks...cute as a button, they are! I've sold the breeding pair to Mame1616, but the girl is laying daily, so I've set some of the eggs just for fun.

The chicks are so fluffy and 100% yellow when hatched. I've never seen such a "white" looking yellow in a chick before, if that makes any sense. No buff to it at all. Cute feathered legs, 5 toes. I just fell in love.

The color starts coming out on their wings first at about a week old. They are stunning little babies!

Theres an old saying about magic, that if you try to do something bad to someone it comes back to you in threes (and usually worse than what you wanted to happen to them).

Let the cooking commence!!! I took tomorrow off of work to make the street signs-make the two 10lb pans of Ziti ( to freeze them ahead of time) and the pot of suasage and meatballs to freeze. Butchered out roos this weekend and a few meaties for the chicken dumplings-and Im going through all prizes to put them in one spot for easy access..Ive just been loading in back room:) Got shirts from blue seal this week cute! I think I got 10 to raffle off:) Still some tragglers sending things too and I know others have things they got donated like a 22lb feeder from lovins and some other stuff:)
I also took Oct 1st off to preparr and the following Monday to do clean up-for once my staff isnt all on vaca-luckily my boss knows how much time Ive put into this and keeps telling me Nat do you want more time off? haha He knows I havent taken any vaca this year yet and am using my time for chickenstock and when DH goes to hunting camp for 8 days

I think I am going to make my food ahead of time, too. I will just need to borrow your over for a bit on saturday night. Is that OK? Gretchen is coming up and spending the night at our house Friday night, then we are heading out early Saturday morning to get to your place. Any idea on how many hot dog and hamburger rolls I need to get? Is anyone else getting them, too, or am I getting them all?

I think I may talk Jeremy into making a plucker or two to raffle off. They are simple to make and make processing so much easier.
