We have 5 breeds at the moment. Haven't ruled out adding more, but Jeremy would probably freak!

Freak, no......sigh because he knows he'll be building tractors, yes

Christine, I'm this close to killing you and stealing your man! I hope you know how lucky you are! Jeez, I used to be in trouble if I brought home an extra magazine!

He is pretty awesome! He doesn't complain much and he has coop building down to a science.

Plus, don't let him this he hasn't had a hand in all of this, too. He keeps wanting to add more colors and OE's from Nat were his idea, too!

Man I love me some chicken math!! and it does tie into colors, I want one of those... and one of those... and three of those... goes back to canning...

The color thing is so true! Just when you think the colors you have are good, you see another and think it is prettier and must have it.

What are you canning tonight?

OK issue here the OE that are crossed with an OE hen are having straight combs?? I see 2 straight combs and 1 pea combed baby-and in the other group I see 1 straight and 1 pea comb. I am correct to assume the pea combs are the ones that will throw the colored eggs and the straight combs will be brown eggs???
I believe because the rooster is a FBCM straight comb is that dominant? the last batch of OE's I hatched out I had all pea combs?? Ill show you when you get here and decide what you want to do -even at this young age the 2 straight combers are looking rooish-Im pretty good at spotting roos pretty fast now:-( Or you can have a bunch of OE eggs to try and hatch out...

Oooo, sounds interesting. Is it like a jam or a cooking sauce?

It's thick like the consistancy of bbq sauce. It could be used a LOT of different ways and man is it good. Little bit of a kick from the chilis in it, some fresh garlic. All organic... it is seriously yum. I want to go get eggrolls so I can try it out
