UPSTATE NY chickenstock OCT 3rd Sunday!! -The aftermath and hatching

Mornin All! Rain stopped here sometime during the night, so I am hoping it dries out some today for my poor birds.

Just checked the bator and we have 11 new babies, with 2 more left to hatch. Gonna start packing up the big birds tonight and pack the babies right before we leave tomorrow.

Got the muck boots already for the weekend, I've been wearing them around here, too!

Hope everyone made it thru all the rain safe and sound.

Christine and I were just talking about the people that showed up to PA chickenstock with sandals or heals on. Some of you coming out to this on sunday may not be well acquainted with country life, so a small word of caution, make sure you have footwear you'll be comfortable in and that will keep your feet dry and free of mud.

I am soaked! Im caging up birds that are sold-so they will be dry and pretty to go! I dont see any mites or anyting but I bought 7 dust-for them-Now I have never done it before Ive always used Ivermectin pour on with them-but I had always wanted to try it-so its here for people to use. Dh is back and took today off to finish pens!!!! waiting to hear from Brindle too tenants of cabin are packing their car So they should be leaving shortly then I have to clean the cabin-

We are going to frontline all the birds we are bringing tonight when we cage them up. Sun is shining and the wind is blowing here. Hopefully the yard dries out some. I let the layers out to free range for the whole day, since they didn't get out yesterday. They all look so much better than their dumb butts did yesterday.

Currently waiting to hear from Gretchen that she is on the road. Hopefully she didn't get washed away in all the rain.
