Nat - I'm sure there was nothing wrong with her when you gave her to me!I checked them a few times, just to ogle them - they were fine. That's why I'm wondering if she somehow twisted it or landed on it wrong in some way while in transit. I just wish I had noticed earlier. She was standing with the other two every time I checked them and fed them up until Wednesday night, so who knows when it happened. I did offer her scrambled egg, but she wasn't that interested. I'm gonna try again today, plus some corn and other treats. I may try rigging up a sling so she's not sitting all the time, but is also not standing on her good leg all the time. I felt so bad having to put this up here because I didn't want to upset you, but I wanted advise more.

I never thought it had anything to do with you! The weirdest part was that my other hen, who she had no contact with, came up lame the same day, but on the other leg! I will keep you posted - will force feed her if I have to - ugh.
Well, you should no the other two are bopping around having a good time, checking everything out. Couple of verbal squabbles with the older girls, but nothing other than that.
It really stinks hearing about everyone's birds. I am so sorry.
I don't think the chilly weather helped the smaller ones, so hopefully June will be better for the next one.
On a brighter note, we had 8 out of 13 Catdance Silkies hatch!
Two partridge, 2 black, 2 buff, 1 white, and 1 splash. We also have 7 more MF d'Uccles! Those little buggers breed like rabbits! I am convinced that they have some rabbit DNA in them somewhere!
