Nat, you can add this to the wish list - I want some BIG birds! The largest large fowl hens you got! I like the lighter, prettier colors, so I can see them in the coop at night, and I'd like show quality, please.

Brahmas - Light or Buff
Cochins - Any color but black
JG's - B, W, Bl, or S
Orpingtons - Any color but black
and Faverolles.

These are really the only breeds I'm interested in - unless Karen wants to give me a white Ameraucana hen?
Too many of my "hens" from the PA Chickenstock had a sex change, so I'll have room for more. Thanks!

against my better judgement, I have a whole pile of babies hatching mid september if all goes well - blrw, various maran types and blue orpingtons, plus light brahma and one lone cochin egg (b/b/s). I'll post a list and pics as we get closer, plus I may have some roos to bring if anyone would be willing to take them off my hands (they would not be big enough to eat by then so harder to craigslist)..
I have three gorgeous blue orpington chicks, but don't know the gender yet, and I am sure I won't be able to tell what the silkies are by then!

Would anybody be interested in a LF Cochin roo from Rare Feathers Farm? I have 2 roos - one is splash and going to be really nice looking, one looks like it will be red and black and is a little harder feathered. (I'm keeping a BEEEYOUTIFUL buff and blue pullet) These came out of a LF Lemon Blue Cochin hatch.

I also have a black Ameraucana roo from Jean Ribbeck (pips&peeps) and may have some buff, as well.

I have a Penciled Rock roo from Wynette (and maybe 2) and some BLRW roos from Mrs. Chickendad. May also have one from hoppy, but I'm not sure. I'm keeping hoppy's until I'm am absolutely sure, because it may still be a pullet. If it turns into a roo, I'll let ya'll know.

I can post pics if anyone is interested. I would rather haul them up to NY and give them to a chickenperson I know than give them to the feedstore here. If nobody wants them, they all go to the feedstore next week.

I'm looking for a dark blue BLRW pullet and a Marans of some kind that will lay very dark eggs.

Tell me what I can bring...besides chickens! I noticed in a long ago post ChickenStalker wanted a Blue Marans Roo. If no one else is bringing one...I have an extra! He's almost 6 months old now.
I make some mean brownies (from the box of course). I would love to know if kids can come...they would enjoy the experience just as much as me! Is there an example I can look at for rules, what to expect, etc., etc.?

are there feedstores within an hour or so of saratoga that will take roosters? I didn't even think of that. Pretty sure the local TSC won't but would like to find a 'last chance' place if craigslist doesn't pan out!

I might have another request actually... I need a white crested black polish roo. I have a gorgeous sq pullet I got at Chickenstock and man to mate her to a good quality roo would be awesome. I guess I could wait until next year, but if I have the roo ahead of time I can incubate in the spring...

There are rules about kids on my property-no one else has asked until now so this is perfect timing and Ill repost my rules on the first page

NO unsupervised kids at anytime unless they are 10 and older-there is water everywhere around me and I dont care how good of a swimmer someone tells me their children are-that scares me and I dont need that uneeded stress of worrying sick over others children.

There is an enclosed trampoline-no more than 3 children at a time-Supervised by their parents. If you see more than that-Please tell me and I will take care of it or FEEEL FREE to do so yourselves-more than that and I have had and seen children get hurt-

There is a paddle boat-They may use with an Adult ( not a teenager-an adult)

There are canoes and life jackets-you may use them-with an adult in it-anyone who goes out into water wears a life jacket- Thems is the rules on this pond-LOL

There is a cabin with an old pool table in it-they may use that too-

There is a mule ( quad) this will not be used it will be put away-but in sight

There is a golf cart-this will not be used-put away but in sight

No children opening my pens to see/touch/hold my birds-I will chop hands...LOL-seriously I cant tell you how many people who have come over and watched their children chase-trap-throw rocks-tease my birds and say nothing to them--I WILL speak up, without fear, to children and parents.

Now those who know me know Im am REALLY easy to get along with and I love to have fun-but when it comes to jeapordizing the safety of a child or my birds-
All my birds will be locked up for the duration of chickenstock so as not to cause any cross contamination or harm to them. So we really shouldnt have to worry about children getting into them

Other than that-just repsect from them and my property-it is really easy as long as all the parents keep an eye on their kids and the kids understand the areaas where they can and cannot go-which I will show people as they come

Thank you for asking and I hope I dont seem too harsh-but I have to be with this many people coming-

Please post or PM me with pics when they hatch! I am so excited. Our first batch is due to hatch next weekend. I will be bouncing off the walls at work waiting to get home and see what we get!

we have a chick we have a chick!!!! its one of the OE's!!!! I wlaked in this am and saw no pips:-( just walked in and heard her crying lifted my hen and saw a wet newly hatched baby!!dont have the camera until DH gets back in a few hours--but yah 1 down 4 more to go! and my 1 white orp

Ha ha ha ha...the rules for children are COMPLETELY understandable. The good thing is I am a firm parent, so my kids know how to behave, and treat other people's property and animals. They are NOT very good swimmers, so it is good to know in advance all of your water features! They are 10 and 7 and will more likely be my shadows as we visit. How many of my friend's children I envisioned your rules list would pertain to!
