UPSTATE NY chickenstock OCT 3rd Sunday!! -The aftermath and hatching

So I think I talked DW to come. If we can find a nice place to stay nearby with something to entertain us til Sunday. We like antiques and shops and old stuff like us. We might like to stay at a B+B or a nice place. Somewhere with in driving distance like 30 min away would be nice.
I've never been to a chickenstock so don't know what to expect or bring.

Old and we like old books too.

well rancher your in luck-right next to my house is an antique store-my MIL's-plus all sorts of goodies there:) check out the first thread you will see hotels/motels and such.

If you want to bring birds..have at it:)

If you want to contribute to food-the more the merrier-perhaps bread for ziti and meatballs/sausage? baggets? LOL Italian laoves?

I have 13 two week old silkies that were hatched from cjexotic eggs - very cute! I'll post pics when we get closer to the date to see if anyone is interested. I am keeping my little showgirl tho.

Some old lady in an SUV decided to pull out in front of me. My bike and her SUV don't look so good. Luckily for me and my passenger the ground was there to catch us.

Let's just say it could have been a LOT worse.

Glad you are still here to tell about it. Other drivers are always my fear when Sportsterjeep and I are out riding.

That is a very kind offer, Lovins. But I spend so much time outside at night in all seasons and John was offshore so many years that we are actually well prepared for cold weather. One year we camped out near Yellowstone and had to beat ice off our tent and had a great time. HATE camping in hot weather.

Sorry PC I must have missed a page or too!!! You wanted 5 right Don? We can process them Sat-and leave 5-10 to do Sunday or not?? I can let mine grow out another week or two :) No one has said they are bringing roos to process-so it look like we will do them 11:30-ish Sun...this way we have plenty of time to get showered up and eat some good food after:)

I'm ok with the processing demo being over with before I get there.

). I thought I might have some birds to bring should someone else want to eat them, but looks as if everything I'd have would be way too little.
