Newbie swap question...I realize we need to bring cages, etc for our birds to hang out in while we are there....I am assuming we should also bring boxes for people to put the birds they purchase into...correct?

Hmmm, you could, but it would cost more. Something like an end table, bookcase, or something like that. The biggest trick would be building around the actual cabinet itself, that has all the insulating properties. Controlling the vents may get kinda hinky too.

So Im getting 4 anyway and whats another 4 hens that are laying? I need colored eggs for my Xmas decorations!
If you want them, they are yours! They are all different, but with the same color pallet. One is real dark, with a lot of black, one is pretty much partridge, the other two are lighter and I can only can tell them apart because one has more black in her neck.
Awesome! I think 3 of 4 lay green eggs, and one lays brown. I don't know which one lays brown or even if it was one of them, though. It could have been one of my other girls went up there to lay instead of going back to their coop when they were free ranging.
