We live in Memphis, TN and have kept backyard chickens for three years now. I got three Norwegian Jaerhon chicks in March of this year from a breeder in North Mississippi (I know he's on this forum). Anyway, they are now five months old and just beautiful and healthy. I am planning to show them in the fair next month. They forage in our yard and garden and also eat organic feed. The rooster, Loki, is rather bossy, but he also knows the hand that feeds him. One of the hens, Freyja, is just brilliant. I love to watch her in action. The other hen, Miso, is the rooster's girlfriend, and follows whatever he does. They are a beautiful breed and we are happy to add them to our little flock.
