URGENT!!! 1ST TIME LAYING EGG

Hi! I'm a first time chicken owner. Our pet chicken just hatched due to overstock egg this quarantine.
We decided to keep her.

She's 18 weeks now and 6 hours ago she just stood still and making noises and trying to push an egg out.
It's her 1st time and ours too. I'm afraid and panicking now cause I don't know what to do.
It's been hours, we put her back in her coop, and the egg is just hanging in there. I don't even know how to describe it.
Gosh! Help please!!!!! It midnight in my country and I don't know who to call.. please help me..

Sometimes they just take an age and a bit of drama getting the first few out, because they don't quite understand what is happening, and their bodies aren't used to it yet. It gets easier!

I haven’t followed the link, but if she is really straining you could try some vaseline, oil or lube to the vent area. Slather it on and press gently underneath and try and ease the egg out but without putting pressure on it that would break it. Very bad news if the egg breaks inside her ,though it looks as if it is half out already, just struggling with the last bit

A warm compress of a flannel soaked in hot water (not boiling) and squeezed out also serves as an alternative to a warm water soak
