He’s 11 years old and just about nearing the end of his molting. He was seen by a vet and no mites. He aged really fast. He looks better now but has difficulty walking... inflammation .

Oh my goodness he's an ancient boy! I'm glad he's doing better but that would certainly explain his leg oddity and his disheveled appearance he's just an old man. Do keep an eye on him for mites though, even though he didn't have any at the vet he's definitely had them before that's what's caused the lumpy tissue on his legs.

He's pretty old and normally wouldn't suggest this but maybe two times a week you can half a baby asprin and dissolve it in his water to help his stiffness and circulation if you wanted to.

A rooster is a rooster no matter how old. Age dosent seem to effect the machismo of males of any species I'd wager that's what's been keeping him going all these years.
