The membrane dried to the down. And it was in the egg so long it crapped. It happens, usually with waterfowl IMO, not chicks. Looks like it might not have completely closed the naval yet.View attachment 3490501This does not look right to me…
Yes.I helped it out, there was some shell really stuck over its back so I just put it back in with that hoping it will dry/ come off on it’s own now.
Do you think this happened from the hatched chicks rolling the eggs all around?
