Urgent: chukar making gagging motion after eating big piece of apple!

I feel like a huge idiot because I gave my chukar way too big a piece of apple (about quarter sized but end piece so triangular) and he is making this strange gagging motion. He seems to have mostly stopped now but I’m worried. He’s super flighty so I can’t really touch him to check him.

If it were a chicken, I would suspect what you were seeing is a crop adjustment. Hopefully he has been able to get the food down and can now process it.

He seems normal now at least to me. But I’m still concerned. He drank water and ate his food and some tiny cooked carrot pieces.

My silkie did something to her crop ages ago, really had me worried.. so since she's a piggy anyways, i made a little mix of feed crumbled down in olive oil, mixed with some grit. It worked, and i could actually hear the grit moving and "crunching."
