Help! One of our 12 hens (a 2 1/2 year old White commercial) has coccidiosis, we treated her with 'Worm-enda' as soon as we noticed it, thinking it was Worms but when we went to buy the 'worm-enda' we got some advice that it was coccidiosis we researched more and concluded it was infact coccidiosis, but now we are unsure what it really is because we gave her the 'AMPROLIUM 200' powder coccidiosis treatment for the required 6 days and this morning she was laying on the ground is the pen, very ill - worse then before.

I was reading where it is given for 7 days and then at 1/2 strength for 7 more. Did you mix it according to the directions? Have you seen diarrhea with or without blood? Have you checked her crop first thing in the morning to see that it is emptying, and she is not getting a full squishy crop (sour crop?) Mites, lice, and worms can all cause illness in chickens, and I'm not familiar with that wormer--it contains levamisole right?

Yes we saw those instructions but she seem to be over it, but this morning she was really bad so we kept giving her full strength of the AMPROLIUM 200 and still are, no blood in her poop but she dose have diarrhea and we have not been checking in the morning for the crop/gullet, and yes the worm-enda is levamisole, and her crop/gullet is squishy but i think its because we have been feeding her banana yogurt and dough.

Dough and sweetened yogurt might not be good for her crop right now. Plain yogurt is better and some apple cider vinegar in her water. She might eat her chicken crumbles or pellets better if moisten with amprollium water.
