URGENT DUCKLING CANT STAND UP.

I would let him kick the egg free, but maybe others can comment?

Its what is remaining, its nothing you can do about it now or how he was in the egg... He needed more time thats all..

now treat its umbilical and give some electrolytes and try to help him best you can

Thanks Kathy!

and by needing more time I mean, needed more time in the shell whole. not as it just sat in the image....

how can I treat the umblical. And it going in to the brooder now

I agree with Kathy. Adroit: As for the duckling in the pic(post # 50), worth a shot. I'd try to get a few drops of Poultry Nutri Drench into it. But... that one may not be a survivor no matter what you do. The fact that you say that they are all weak leads me to believe that you had developmental issues due to temp being off during incubation, or the Hen's nutrition was poor so the eggs didn't have all they needed to ensure normal development.

MCW: That little duckling with the lump on head has severe issues that it won't outgrow. Best to cull it. Sometimes there are issues with ducks or chicks that just can't be fixed.

I checked in with the feed stores near me. No poultry drench I'm using Sav a chick. He drank a bit. I'm praying that he lives

I would leave him in the incubator for another 24 hours so that he doesn't start crawling the poop and food in the brooder. Best to keep his umbilicus clean, so keep him on a soft, clean and dry towel.

Do you have any wound cleaners like betadine or chlorhexadine? Do not use peroxide or alcohol.

we are going to the store soon so I will make sure to pick up betadine. What should I do with it. Also I put him in the incubator. Will it live
