Picked up some chicks yesterday at the feedstore & owner gave me this duckling for free because he isn’t walking & it’s legs stick straight out behind it. I tried hobbles last night after many hours of research & YouTube videos. Woke up this morning & removed the hobbles to evaluate & now it won’t move it’s right leg at all. Like zero movement on its own. Leg & foot is still warm to the touch. Duckling constantly falls to the left, on the leg that is somewhat better but still sticks out behind him sometimes. I tried to let it “swim” but it lists to the left & is unable to float upright. I don’t know if culling this guy is the right thing to do or if it just needs more time.
