This is goingquackers daughter, we have yet another emergency with ducklings! For whatever reason mommy duck has opened the egg, it's still alive! Judging by the last baby we aren't sure if its ready to hatch. Right now we have it under a heat lamp. Is their anything else we can do? Or if its just hatching ?

I would wrap it  loosely in a sterilized damp rag and get onto the Thread Formerly Known as Hatch Day is today.
Alright I have the towel on it, it's still breathing, can you give me a link to the thread?

Okay I have a video but can't post it on Mobile, it's begun to peep !

Not sure why the blood patch is there, assuming its apart of the messy process of hatching? Her other eggs that are still under her have all poked their little beaks out, so I'm assuming this little guy is gonna hatch (Hopefully)

mama must have hit a vein when she poked a hole in the shell. it's got a good air flow just keep watch on the membrane you don't want it to dry out and shrink wrap the duckling.

We should still have a wet cloth on it right? oye this is nuts, i had to go out and i found this one this morning again on the porch thankfully i'd been in/out so i knew it hadn't been there long, then she calls to tell me she has a live one with the yolk sack still attached, i mean, really.. REALLY, so i have both in the brooder crate under a lamp.

so far the ones under mama seem ok... i just hope this all works out.

Thank you both, i really appreciate you taking the time to help her i couldn't access stuff while i was out so she was flying solo with only my texts and the advice here.

She did say she's not convinced adulthood is for her though
