I know this is a chicken website, but I have been doing all kinds of research and am all out of ideas. I just got 10 ducklings that were born the week of july 16th thru july 22nd, 2017. All were extremely healthy except for one. I noticed he/she had an eye that looked irritated and was draining some fluid. I am a major animal person so of course wouldn't turn him down. It didn't look so serious at first, but it has progressively gotten worse. I mentioned it to the person I got it from because they have raised ducks/chickens for many years. Their idea which they've done before and have saved their birds was seperate it from the other ducklings. For 24 hours have it only drink bleach water mixture which is 1 1/2 cups sugar, 3 oz plain bleach and a gallon of water. Then after 24 hours have them drink 16oz of gatorade in a gallon of water. It drank some, not a lot, but some of both and no change has been made. Tonight I looked and he keeps keeping his eye shut all the way, but is able to open it. It looks like his eyelashes or feathers above his eye are touching his eyeball. I don't know if that's what is irritating it or if he has an infection. Please help with any ideas for treatment. He's one of my favorites. HELP SAVE DADDLES!

oh and here's some more information about Daddles. I forgot to add:
1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.) He's a pure bred ancona and is about 2 weeks old. His weight compared to the others is normal.
2) What is the behavior, exactly. he has normal duck behavior, but his one eye has been draining since I got it and now he's starting to keep it closed. Not sure if it's an infection or it also looks like his hair above his eye is touching the eyeball so maybe that's causing it.
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms? since I got him, almost 2 weeks.
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms? no
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma. no
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation. I don't know. He was like this when I got him, just not as bad.
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all. normal chick starter and drinking water.
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc. normal
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far? described in original post.
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet? I hope to treat myself but will go to vet if needed.
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use currently in a plastic tote, paper, cardboard and sometimes pine bedding used.

the picture shows how it looked when I first got him. It has since gotten worse and his "eyelashes" touch his eye a lot.
