always sad when that happens..........

my english whites are the ones that do that to each other and sometime you can catch them before it gets to that extreme and they recover ,then i try to figure out who gets along with who and who's aggressive. it's usually another hen that is being so nasty. some of my whites wont tolerate another hen in with her at all. i've culled a couple of them b/c of their jealous streaks!

Are you sure the eyes are gone? I've had a few times when I thought a bird had gotten the eyes pecked out but it was just that the area around the eye had been pecked so badly that it swelled over the eye.

Just read the rest of the thread, sorry you had to cull her

Shelly, I am pretty sure they were gone.. I ended up feeding her to my ferrets and took the head off (since it had blue cote on it).. I didn't see any eyes under the skin
