URGENT Fox attacked hen

Fox attacked my hen about an hour ago. Having trouble figuring out the best way to treat this wound or if it’s treatable. I have veterincyn spray for poultry and also blue korte. I do have bandage tape too. I have only had chickens for a year and this is the most serve problem I have had to deal with. Any help would be appreciated.

You can use Vetericyn, saline, or Hibiclens chlorhexidene weakened 1/2 with water. Then coat the wound with plain Neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment after cleaning twice a day. Trim any feathers back that are getting into the wound. Do not use BluKote which is only for minor wounds. Leave it open and place her on a clean towel. That looks like her back, but a picture farther away may help us see the location. Is she able to stand and walk? Can you offer some sugar water or electrolytes up to her beak for shock? When she is drinking, offer moistened chicken feed and scrambled egg. Her wound may close up in a few weeks, but hopefully, she has not had any internal injuries. Watch for signs of infection (pus, reddened swelling around edges, bad odor.) Let us know how she is doing. Are the other chickens locked up and safe?

First, treat for shock. Give her some sugar water. Add 1 tsp sugar a pinch of salt and s pinch of baking soda to 1 c warm water, mix till dissolved, and dip her beak in it.

Then, clean the wound with Hibiclens or sterile saline solution. Trim feathers away from the wound both so you can see and so feathers don't stick in the wound. Coat the wound with triple antibiotic ointment that does not have pain reliever in it. Do not cover or bandage. Do this twice daily. Keep her in a quiet, dim environment until she's eating and drinking.

The other chickens are safe. The wound is on the back I have updated with photo. Thank you for the info.

Thanks for the new picture. She certainly may recover from this if her internal organs and spine are not damaged. Keep us posted on how she is doing.
