Urgent Goose Help needed!

I've searched all over the pen and have not found a trace of an egg but I do let them free range quite often so it very well could be anywhere. Do cats steal eggs? Because we have a huge stray cat population around here.
As big as a goose egg is I don't know if a cat could do much with one. They are pretty tough to so don't think a cat could break one open either. I'd keep a close eye on the prolaspe you don't want it to dry out at all, keep it moist and hopefully it will go in on its own. Does she eat layer or do you give oyster shell on the side? I don't feed layer because i don't want my boys to eat it, so i feed oyster shell separately.

Would vaseline be good to keep it moisturized? Also yes she usually eats layer feed but I haven't given any oyster shells in awhile. Do you think I should start feeding them again?

When i fed layer it was some years ago and I still put out oyster shell and they used it so I guess they need more than is in the layer, but the duck eggs were so hard i just about had to have a hammer to crack them. And yes vaseline will work to keep it lubed.

I'll try to pick up some oyster shells this weekend. And great I have plenty of it laying around. Thank you so much for your help

Yes, it was regular Prep H., and yes the Vaseline works well at keeping the area moist. Also, Vaseline and honey were a great combination. Call me crazy, but I think the honey actually makes them use their muscles around their vents more, making the area stronger. I put the honey on and they wouldn't stop contracting those muscles.

My girls are doing great, and I am so thankful. I hope your goose recovers. BTW, I don't recall what type of goose you have, did I miss that info?

I'll defiantly try the honey and thank you
