1) he is a barnyard mix silkie and EE. Less than a year (about 8 months) and weighs about 3lbs
2) He came out of the coop this morning and kind of toppled over and couldn’t stand back up. He is panting at times and is lethargic and very wobbly on his feet.
3) Since this morning, he was fine yesterday
4) He is the only one in the flock acting this way
5) No bleeding, I can’t see any signs of recent trauma.
6) Conpketwly unsure of what could have happened to him.
7) He eats organic Pureina chicken feed and gets occasional probiotic/vitamin water.
8) I haven’t been able to assess his poop yet, I have a safe coop for only him right now so I will be able to tell.
9) Separated him and added vetrx and vitamins to water.
10 ) I am going out of town tomorrow for Christmas and my neighbor is watching them, I need at home treatment only.
11) I will add a picture (video if I can).
12) They have a coop where I use pine shavings and fresh hay (it gets cleaned once a week)

How does his comb look? Is it pale or swollen? Are his feather follicles swollen or firm?
Is he able to eat? If not you will need to hand feed him and dip his beak in water to ensure he does not starve.or dehydrate.. I hope your neighbor is up.for the job!

His comb seems fine, same with feathers. He is eating okay as well on his own. He isn’t moving quickly to food but he is eating.

What does his crop feel like?
Do you have other cockerels/roosters?
Any chance he fell or was injured?

What type of feed is the Purina - layer, chick starter, flock raiser?
His crop doesn’t feel full to me...
I have one other skittish polish rooster. But they get along fine together and never fight because the polish had frostbite toes when I got him so he is just a scardy cat.
If he fell, I have no clue how it could have injured him. They were in the coop and their roost isn’t high up at all. I’m so confused and wish I could add a video

I know you are doing what you can.

For video upload it to youtube, then provide us a link. The BYC upload does not work.

I would keep separated and keep food/water close by. Hopefully he will poop and you can get a photo of that. (I think most all of have followed a chicken around at some point waiting for them to poop lol)

Vitamins are fine. Look to see that they contain E, B1 and B2.

If you have vet care, that's always best, but we will try to help you figure it out.

Unfortunately I do not have a YouTube account! Or else I could get that video up here

Sorry about your sick rooster. He is very cute—kind of looks like a black copper marans mixed with silkie, LOL. Was ne vaccinated for Mareks disease? It may take time to figure out if this is vitamin (riboflavin or B2) deficiency, an injury, or possibly Mareks disease. It will be important for him to be in a small dog crate or pen near his food and water. I would be tempted to take him with me, since he can starve or become dehydrated over several days. A chicken sling or chair may be helpful to make for him, to get him upright, to keeep him clean and out of his droppings, and to be sitting in front of his food and water. His feet should slightly touch the floor, and he needs to get out of the sling for rest periods. Here is some reading about Mareks, and some good examples of homemade chicken slings:
