I currently have 2 male ducks (drakes) that are approx 5 months old that grew up together. I have just been given 1 male and 1 female goose that are about 3 weeks old as a bday present. What will happen??? Will they get along/ will my drakes hurt my female goose. Or will the geese hurt my ducks????

You need to introduce the ducks and goslings together slowly so no one gets picked on, If they have a large enough pen they should live together happily for a time but a pair of geese come breeding season are a force to reckon with especially the gander, he will not tolerate being in close quarters with any other fowl, but that's a ways down the road so for now just enjoy those babies. now I'd think about those 2 drakes they are getting at an age where their hormones are really going to kick in and they will go after your goose. And will even try to mate with each other. So I'd think about getting some girls for them 2-3 each or making them a bachelor pen of their own away from the 2 geese. I have 4 drakes and 1 gander and keeping the peace here can be a problem at times. I have separate areas where i have to keep 2 of my drakes and their girls away from the rest because of fighting. my gander tolerates the 2 drakes in with him and his mate only because there is alot of room to stay out of each others way.

Give them enough room and they will either be friends or ignore each other. Problems occur when they are forced into contact, especially when nesting. Also what breed are the geese? Most are really docile but some, like white chinese, are pretty intolerant. So in conclusion, space, lots of lovely space and no stress :) .

I´d keep them apart. Drakes can be an absolute headache. I once had a drake frighten one of my young geese so much, trying to mate her. Quite traumatised, she was. He went to live somewhere else. I have a drake here, a muscovy. He is very gentle and well behaved. Most drakes aren´t, though. If it were me, I´d not risk a couple of randy drakes with young goslings. :) Just my point of view.

p.s. mine have 2 acres to roam about in.
