Aww bless my hen hatched a Runner last week but I took it away and gave it to my Muscovy mama since mama hen was showing the duckling how to be a chick. Did she accept the ducklings?

Yes, she hatched them herself! This was her first time hatching eggs (and my first time hatching eggs naturally lol), I hope to have Muscovy ducks next year along with turkeys so I’ll be able to give waterfowl eggs to the Muscovys and chicken eggs to the turkeys haha, for now mama hen is showing them how to be chickens but it seems to be working out, tho I noticed they are starting to scratch the ground like chickens lmaoAww bless my hen hatched a Runner last week but I took it away and gave it to my Muscovy mama since mama hen was showing the duckling how to be a chick. What breed of ducks?
So, I let them roam the yard with mama hen this morning and chaos ensued: mama hen would call them in chicken language, they would try to follow their biological parents instead who would in turn scare them away back to mama hen, in the meantime mama goose thought those were her babies and decided to call them and follow them lol, so now the hen and the goose joined forces and help each other raising the ducklings... starting to think I could give her babies back to her once they get to 5 weeks or so...It sounds like my Runners they will welcome these littles once they get big enough to run but for now mama Muscovy has the job of raising them. Your ducklings are precious.
