Then I wouldn’t worry about it. I just had a duckling hatch with a similar problem, but yours seems to be doing better then my duckling was. As time goes on, that should dry up, but just make sure you keep that area clean so it doesn’t get infected

that's good to hear, how is his naval area looking? I would be worried about him stepping on the (?)ripped yolk sac(?), and potentially causing more damage.

His naval area looks pretty good. The ripped yolk sack seems to have gone back in a ways so there's just a little round bit out yet. And its high enough that he cant step on it.
