Crisis averted - little sammy is drying in the tub now, all clean and flowery smelling from the dish soap. I'm just waiting for her to dry a little bit, then I'll put her back in with her buddies.

Oh yeah, just a little bit of veggie oil took it off - guess I didn't need the three bottles I took into the bathroom with me!

WD40 is a good cleaner but I wouldn't use it on my pets or kid. It is SUPERB at removing carpet stains though.

Thanks for this post!! My white silkie roo did this a week ago. I didn't know what to do. So this weekend when it stops raining, it's bath time!! Never gave a chicken a bath..

I was going to pipe in with cooking spray--had to rescue a bat that got tangled up in the fly strip (felt so bad, I don't use them anymore). The only oily stuff I could find at the barn was Pam, worked like a charm. I didn't give the bat a bath afterwards though, he was already pretty mad LOL
