they sell chicken feed in the walmarts here in califronia, i dont know if they do in other states

Walmart does not sell chicken feed here in Texas either but I go to the local hardware store and pay about $8.50 for a 50 lb bag of layer feed, about $7 for 50 lbs of scratch

Not all stores sell the same thing in the entire state.

I don't get that.....you won't cull them because it's wrong, but you'll dump them off to starve or get attacked and eaten?

I don't want to see them die in front of my eyes (as I've said in an earlier post) so the only thing I could do was dump them. I'm a bit offended since you really don't know the situation I'm going through right now, anyway thanks for your post.

Can you imagine what the birds are going through! Would you rather dump them somewhere to starve and be eaten, then cull them youself? Thats pretty selfish.

Well I can assure you Amarillo has several shelters, animal control and an SPCA, and no advertisements on Craigslist for free chickens LOL I've never had less than five people wanting even free day old roosters.

I have to agree with TigerLilly. Her posts are all over the place about some urgency or another. I just hope for any chicken's sake, she is just trying to pull someone's leg.
