Most very young chicks need around 95 degrees to keep them toasty.
I had mine in the garage where it's pretty hot to us humans, and then I just used a 100 watt bulb for their heat..
They were like a bunch of wild chickens...
I just moved mine to their new pen yesterday and the temp dropped down to 60 degrees here last night, so I went down and put a light up for them to make sure they stayed warm.. (that was about mid-night) lol
Same with my Turkeys... Except with a 250watt red bulb..
