Just brought home my two POL chickens and only just noticed they have LICE they are dark yellow to orange in colour, and look an 8 shape.
I've been online and ordered 2kg of multi mite DE to cover the coop...
Is there anything I can do now to help get rid of them??

It’s a product found in farm stores and online. I believe Gordon’s is one.
It comes in liquid or powder. The liquid is a concentrate you mix with water.

You’ll need to spray the chickens, get rid of all bedding and get new, spray the coop, roosts, nesting boxes, anywhere they hang out. In ten days, you’ll have to do it again to kill any that hatched.

DE can be a preventative, but for an actual infestation, it’ll be a continuing battle unless you knock it out with an actual treatment.

I've ordered multi mite DE for the coop, will this be a good treatment?

Where are you located? Permethrin is a very good treatment, but may not be available in some countries. Ivermectin can treat lice and mites, but there is a long egg withdrawal time. DE will not treat a lice infestation. Spinosad products are very good to use as well. Check with your vet what might be effective in your area.
