It is possible that they need more heat. Should be 80 to 85 in the brooder unless you are using a brooder plate. If so, It might need to be adjusted higher

I couldn't find live mealworms, so I tried dead ones with no luck.

Go to a fishing tackle shop or pet shop; either one should have them. Even 7-11's here carry them.
