URGENT~ SOFT SHELLED EGGS AND A LETHARGIC DUCK!!!

I'm a little rusty but I have read so many records in the past and had to decipher animal owners histories. Keep up with treatments ect... I guess I still got it. Like I told you I was surprised the vet even spoke with me when I was trying to get local info for you and happened to be referred to them so I think they would go out of the box for you.

Dr. Marbel I believe has credentials to treat wildlife. But is not a avian specialist. I'm not sure but their probably a small animal hospital and treat dogs, cats ect... So probably not ducks ect.. They are probably not confident on diagnosing a problem that isn't injury related like a broken leg, wing or feeding babies. Don't quote me on that I have just worked in different fields as a LVT from labs to large animals in the past.

Sounds like the small animal vets I know, lol, most *could* treat birds, but prefer not to. Perhaps they would benefit from these:

It's a great set of books and a real bonus that they're free online!

True but most especially new graduates are compassionate enough to try something if theirs no other option.

Still not eating. We just syringe fed her about 4 tablespoons of a baby food, yogurt, and a tiny pinch of probiotic mix.
She is outside swimming in her pool.

She might still be fighting the infection. Not saying that she wont get better but some times a second round of antibiotics are needed for many different infections

When you syringe fed her how much was in her esophagus and does it go down between feedings? If you syringe feed small amounts your going to have to do it often.Think back to how her neck bulged after normal feedings before she got sick. She needs enough food to sustain her plus some.
