URGENT- splay leg or hip issue in 2 week old

could it be boggle leg?!?!
Never heard of that but I contacted the lady who sold her to me last night and she let me swap her for another bird so that my healthy bird would not be lonely if the one with the deformity didn’t make it. I think it was a hip problem not a knee problem. I’m an occupational therapist and it appeared to be a deformed hip socket due to the way the leg rotated totally outward to the point that their toes were pointing behind her

I’m glad they gave you another healthy chick. Those little ones with problems sometimes get along with extra help. You can really get attached as well.

I sobbed my eyes out on the way to bring her back. I really wanted to help her. I grew up on a farm and I know sometimes this happens but I’m a softie.

Also the only chicks she had are 4 day old Cochin bantams. This bird looks like a little cotton ball compared to the 2 week old silkie

I can’t stand to see sick animals. As a rehab therapist I can kind of handle sick kids because i know how to help them with their disabilities and help them function to their best ability. I know it makes me sound stupid but with animals, as much research as I do, I’m not trained in veterinary medicine so I feel more helpless
