I can't imagine finding 5' x100' hardware cloth for that price - the price quoted had to be a mistake - like they thought that chicken wire and hardware cloth are the same thing

I know.... I asked her if it was poultry netting or hardware cloth... she assured me. I guess it turned out it was the lady at the warehouse that made the mistake.

I had asked for 36" or 48" 100' rolls and she called me back saying the warehouse could only supply a 60" 150' roll...... It was $53 with like $16 for the freight shipping.

Funny you should mention this. I went to the TSC a couple of days ago to buy field fence. The price on field fence has escalated more than a little and they had a 200' roll marked for $269 still. The woman behind the counter kept insisting that they didn't sell 200' rolls of the 2" x 4", they sold 330' rolls of 4" x 4" and they cost $150.

There was no arguing with her, so I went ahead and bought her imaginary roll of fence knowing it was 100' and thinking I'd come back for roll two since the price was still low. When I got the roll home I realized that it wasn't even 4" x 4", it was 4" x 6" (big enough for a Nigerian dwarf kid to wriggle through). I'll use it anyway, but jeez, how hard is it to know your product.

I've seen that wire here, and though it sounds like a good deal, anything bigger than 1/2" will bring you heartbreak in the long run (sorry).

In michigan there are all kind of criiters. I would return it/ get the refund, and order the hardware cloth some place else. Even if you have to buy from two seperate places.

I agree. They do not impress me. They have nic e products, but uninformed employees... so my experience has been

I canceled the order.... we're gonna build the frame like we want it and start small with the hardware cloth... increasing the length of the run as we get more $.

Not how I wanted to do it... but, it'll have to do
