I have 3 duck eggs and 2 chicken eggs in an incubator and I sat the duck eggs out to cool and something happened in another room and I had to go quickly and they were left out for almost an hour and the lid wasn’t on the incubator for the same amount of time. I don’t know what to do? Are they done for now?? This is my first time hatching. The chicken eggs have a week until hatch and the ducks have about 16-19 days. Help!!!

They'll be fine. My brother unplugged my incubator right after I went to bed and it was off all night. They were all fine.

Ok
They are probably fine. Just let them warm back up for an hour or so and then you can candle them and check. But an hour really shouldn't hurt them.
ok!! Thank you so much. I’m definitely scared about this while thing😂😂😂

I wouldn't stress it. Not sure about ducks, but hens naturally will leave their nests for about an hour +/- to relieve herself, eat and or drink. If anything, keep incubating and candle in a couple days?

Ok! Thank you!!

Last year I woke up to a power outage. I only had 2 ducks in the incubator myself. The incubator had been off for almost 2 hours. Hubby rushed 4 in the morning to get gas for the generator. 2 weeks later, both ducklings hatched just fine.
