use of 1/2 ml of childrens benedryl on bantam chicken for bee sting

Can I still use 1/2 ml. of children's benedryl on a bantam hen to treat the swelling from a bee sting?

I would not treat the hen. Just like a human, the swelling will go down. Subjecting your hen to unproven medications could harm the bird.
Just let the hen heal naturally.

the swelling has been there for almost 2 weeks. It is not worsening. I would say it is stabilzed to maybe making minor improvement.maybe. I just want to help her make a speedy recovery because I moved her to the air-conditioned garage so she would not have to pant because of the heat. and help her feel less stressed. been feeding her lots of berries to build up vitamin C in her system because vitamin C fights inflammation and repairs connective tissue in humans and animals. and it helps her immune system too obviously.
