Use of stick as a tool

I have seen one chicken using a stick to scratch herself
I did not realise chickens used tools like this
Is this common

Guessing this is a misinterpretation but...
How big was the stick?
Where on her body did she scratch herself?
How long did she hold the same stick to do this?
How old is she, in weeks or months?

I'm skeptical but also curious, confused and concerned.
I'm thinking if a chicken can preform this task then how long would it be until they pick up a second stick and master fire.
I can't have the chickens burning down the barn.

I'd be cool with that. I'd have a talk to text chicken.
Couldn't do any worse at it then my mother's phone.
