Used feeder, disinfect?

I wasn't really sure where to post this, but assume this was probably the best forum for it. I recently got a used feeder from someone. It was quite dirty, as it had been sitting unused for quite awhile, I believe...either that, or they haven't cleaned it in a really long time.
Anyway, I cleaned it up really good with blue Dawn dish soap and hot water. It almost looks brand new now. My question is, should I also maybe disinfect with some white vinegar or something before actually using it? Thanks for your help.

If it's galvanized don't use vinegar. Use chlorine bleach 1/2 cup to a gallon of water.
Otherwise white vinegar is a good choice. GC

If it's plastic, you can bleach it, and I probably would. Bleach is cheap insurance.

So is a 3 to 1 ratio a good mix? Or should it be stronger? Weaker? Thanks!

Bleach is very concentrated out of the bottle, so 1/2 to 1 cup per bucket of water is plenty. Mary
