Used/use as nest box or not?

Has anyone used the ledge in a building like this:
As a nest box?

If not could you put a lip on it and use it as nest boxes?

Sounds like it'd work to me (with a 4-6 inch lip)...might as well make useable the space you already have. You'd just need to make sure your roosts are set higher than the perch you'd have to access them.
